This course is aimed at those individuals responsible for marketing their event festival or show. It is ideal for you if you have some previous marketing experience or have undertaken some basic marketing training but would like to take it on to the next level.
You will be training with Andrew Palmer of Palmersquared, a marketing consultant specialising in the cultural and tourism sector. Training will consist of group sessions, one–to–one tutorials and e-learning. Training will be given on how to use the e-learning facility, but this will not require much more skill than the basic ability to use the internet. Ideally participants will have access to the internet to complete the e-learning elements of the course*.
On this course you will be writing your event’s future marketing strategy therefore it will be essential for participants to commit time to completing assignments. You will receive guidance and support from the course tutor but the quality of the final strategy will depend on the amount of time you put into it.
At the end of the course you will not only have gained valuable knowledge about how best to market events, festivals and shows but also a practical and workable marketing strategy for you event.
