Music at your Event

You don’t have to run a music festival to have music at your festival.  Music can enhance the atmosphere add a new dimension to your event and even widening its audience appeal.

In addition to giving your visitors something to listen to you can provide the opportunity for visitors to participate in making music themselves. In Cumbria we are lucky enough to have a variety of really high quality organizations to choose from who can provide music and music workshops at your events.  This article showcases two of them.  Both of the organizations listed below are particularly skilled in running workshops and activities for children and young adults.

Hands On Rhythm is a music company who work with artists and musicians from across the globe to deliver a wide variety of music based activities to all age groups.  They have worked with a wide variety of carnivals and other events on the local, national and international scene. For more information and to contact them go to their website at  http://www.handsonrhythm.co.uk/

The Music Bus is a fun interactive place where people of all ages can come to learn more about music, enjoy listening to performances by new and established artists, share musical experiences and learn about other music initiatives in the area.

The music bus can be hired for your festival or event on a variety of different tariffs.  The basic package includes the hire of the bus itself and the services of a sound engineer but unless you are used to programming musical events you will probably want to use MusicLinks events programming services or commission one of their workshops.  To find out more including info on their new Digital Arts Van go to the website at http://www.musiclinks.org.uk/. A price list is available on request.

If you are a musician, a band or run an organization that can supply music and / or musically activities to events then why not enter you details on the Cumbria Showring Market Place?
